In the final round of the 2022 Sony Open in Hawaii, Hideki Matsuyama carded a 7-under 63 to erase a five-stroke deficit and get to 23-under for the tournament, forcing a playoff, where he would defeat Russell Henley for his eighth victory of his PGA TOUR career.
